Help Repair Sri Aurobindo Ashram/Orphanage!
Make Duck Tape bookmarks for Nepal and sell them for one dollar. Donate funds to Sri Aurobindo Ashram/Orphanage. Visit the website!
Ramchandra, Founder of Sri Aurobindo left Nepal at 12 years old, educated himself in India, and returned 20 years later to start the Sri Aurobindo Ashram/orphanage. It has now been running for 21 years. The buildings on the land were built with their own hands over that time and it has been largely self supporting. For example, they sell the extra milk from their cows to Katmandu. Nobody pays for the orphans. Right now most of the children are sleeping outside. Ramchandra spoke at last year's AERO conference about what it is like Running a Sustainable Orphanage.
There was more than $100K damage done to Sri Aurobindo, including the loss of their barn and their school. Please help us raise money to support them - see our HOW TO HELP Page.
